Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-06-12

Draft — pending legal review. This policy reflects how ViewsBrain is built and operated, but it has not yet been reviewed by counsel.

ViewsBrain ("we", "us") is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY — Czech s.r.o., registered address]. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what your rights are. Contact: support@viewsbrain.com.

1. What ViewsBrain does

ViewsBrain analyzes publicly available YouTube data — channel statistics, video metadata, view counts, and thumbnails — to detect overperforming videos and generate AI-powered content briefs. We never access private channel data: there is no YouTube account connection, no OAuth, and no permissions you grant us.

2. YouTube API Services

ViewsBrain uses YouTube API Services to retrieve public channel and video data. By using ViewsBrain you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Specifically:

  • We store public data only: channel titles, handles, subscriber/view counts, video titles, descriptions, statistics, and thumbnail images.
  • Stored API data is refreshed or purged on a rolling cycle of at most 30 days — what you see reflects recent API state, not stale copies.
  • We do not collect, store, or process any private YouTube account data, and we make no API requests on your behalf or with your credentials.
  • Thumbnails are displayed with attribution and link back to the source video on YouTube.
  • You can request deletion of any data we hold about your channel by writing to support@viewsbrain.com; we comply within 7 days.

3. Account data we collect

When you create an account: your email address, password (hashed — we never see it), organization name, and your onboarding answers (channel size bracket, niches, channels you follow). When you subscribe: billing is handled entirely by Paddle, our merchant of record — we never see or store your card details. Paddle's processing is governed by the Paddle privacy policy.

4. Analytics and cookies

We use session cookies (required for sign-in) and PostHog for product analytics (page views, feature usage) when enabled. We honor the Do Not Track browser setting — with DNT enabled, no analytics events are sent. We do not sell data, run third-party advertising, or share data with brokers.

5. AI processing

When you request an AI brief or use the title analyzer's AI mode, the relevant public video/channel metadata is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. No personal account data is included in these requests. Generated briefs are cached and shared across users viewing the same video.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

We operate from the Czech Republic under the GDPR. You have the right to access, rectify, export, and erase your personal data, and to object to processing. Deleting your account removes your personal data; aggregated public YouTube data is unaffected (it is not personal data about you). Exercise any right by emailing support@viewsbrain.com. You may lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).

7. Data retention and security

Account data is retained while your account exists and deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Public YouTube data follows the refresh/purge cycle in §2. Data is stored in the EU on encrypted infrastructure with access limited to operators of the service.

8. Changes

We will note material changes here with an updated date, and notify subscribers by email for significant changes.
